Tune Into KQED Today To Listen To An Hour Discussion On D TOUR
Jim and Pat will be on KQED’s Forum Wednesday morning at 10am (PST) discussing D TOUR for an hour! Now that’s crazy talk. For those of you who don’t know that’s 88.5 on your FM dial Bay Area. Outside of that, please check us out online either through iTunes or kqed.org (psst, link below)

BTW, no Michale Krazny tomorrow. They flew in another host just for us. Oh, and one more thing… D TOUR (Independent Lens) will be on KQED channel 9 on January 7 at 10pm. Yet another opportunity to watch it again! Please share with your friends.
Thanks all. Happy New Year!

D tour Now Available On iTunes
Just in time for the holiday rush and/or so that you have something to watch during those long waits in airports… D tour is now available in bit-size formats for rental and sale on iTunes!
The D tour Nation Acts, KQED Bends To Your Will!
We got word earlier that KQED is rescheduling D TOUR to air on the main channel on January 7, 2010 at 10pm!
So, THANK YOU ALL for contacting KQED with your emails and phone calls!! With your help we got the network to realize that this film has a strong audience and that the Bay Area communities come as a priority. I can’t thank you all enough.
No, KQED cannot schedule the show in time for next week’s initial broadcast premiere, and given the circumstances with programming this late that would’ve been impossible. D TOUR and INDEPENDENT LENS will still air next week on KTEH channel 54 on November 11 at 10pm, and KQED LIFE (CHECK LOCAL LISTINGS) at various times starting November 10. I certainly hope you get to tune in and watch the film either next week or wait until January when it finally comes on KQED.
Of course for those of you NOT in the Bay Area, forgive all this nonsense. Please do check your local listings for when D TOUR will be airing in your part of the country.
In the meantime check out the new site for D TOUR on the PBS site! Loads of extras including new interviews with Pat and Jim and plenty of information on organ donation and how you can help more.
Bay Area Folks: Petition To Ensure D tour Airs In Its Hometown
Hello Friends,
Here’s the situation: Independent Lens usually airs on Tuesday nights at 11pm on KQED. Charlie Rose is on right afterwards starting at midnight. D TOUR makes its national premiere next Tuesday, Nov 10th and runs 90 minutes. Because of the longer running time KQED IS NOT SHOWING D TOUR NEXT WEEK!!! Charlie Rose is a popular show and they won’t start it later. Needless to say I’m kinda bummed. But before I go on I will say that D TOUR is showing on KTEH next week and on KQED Life. But not everyone in the Bay Area, including me, receives these stations. These are secondary stations, and there’s a lot of us who hope to tune into the primary station- KQED Channel 9 and watch D TOUR. So, I am really asking for some major support here. It will only take you a minute or less.
Please help us by writing or calling KQED asking their programming dept. to reschedule this important local story on KQED!! email: tv@kqed.org / tel: (415) 553-2135.
It is really important that each of these requests are unique from one another, each representing an individual voice. If the station receives too many of the same emails then they will most likely not take it seriously. However, if words totally escape you and you want to help, please consider the following to include in your email:
To whom it may concern,
I hope you will reconsider your decision to not show the documentary “D tour” on KQED. It’s an important story that needs to be seen by as many people as possible. Please find a place for it in the KQED schedule.
Please be kind with your email or voicemail if you decide to leave a message. It’s not going to help us at all if these requests are filled with any negative remarks. I can’t thank you all enough for your support with this. I really couldn’t be asking for much more having a national broadcast next week, but to not have our film play on the main channel in our very own backyard just doesn’t sit right.
Also, if you feel like passing this on to anyone who you think would help us out, I would really appreciate it!
