New D tour Independent Lens “Site” Up

While we truly think we have a great thing going on our little web site here, PBS Independent Lens straight up launched a mini-site for our Nov 10 premiere that makes Dtourmovie.com look like a geocities site circa 1996.

On this site you can find exclusive interview clips, discussion guides for your classroom and ways to get more involved in the cause.

We are all stoked that D tour is about to be seen by so many folks, but in the meantime, check out the PBS Independent Lens site!

Chuck Prophet Gives D tour A Shout-out On IFC.com

What’s better than a shout-out from Chuck Prophet?  A Chuck Prophet shout-out on IFC.com.

I was really knocked out by this informative rock documentary directed by Jim Granato about Rogue Wave drummer Pat Spurgeon who was born with one kidney that’s failing and needs another to keep living.

I learned a lot. Like being on the organ recipient list for a new kidney is no cakewalk. And being in a touring band while on dialysis is no day at the beach. It’s involved. I won’t tell you how this story ends but it’s a heart wrenching journey for sure. If you haven’t already, you might want to consider checking that box on your driver’s license.

Read his whole introspection as he puts D tour in the same breath as Badlands, Hearts of Darkness and All The President’s Men.  Wow… that is some company to keep!
