Kidneys In The News: Doc Sets ‘Domino’ Transplant Records And Scores Bonus Points With Grey’s Anatomy Joke

A transplant surgeon who completed an unprecedented eight-way kidney swap this week said Tuesday he believes such intricate, multistate exchanges can drastically reduce the number of patients waiting for eligible donors.

Jason Molina (Magnolia Electric Co.) Talks About New Album And Evan Farrell
Jason Molina recently spoke to Pitchfork about his band’s new album, Josephine, and how it loosely is a tribute to Evan Farrell.
Pitchfork: The press material describes Josephine as sort of a concept album about the death of Evan Farrell.
JM: That’s how we loosely have been describing it, mostly because people need a reference point. It’s not really a tribute record. A lot of the ideas in that record were things that I had worked with Evan on a lot, and he was going to be of course a major part of the new record.

We Won SF Film Festival’s GOLDEN GATE AWARD FOR BEST BAY AREA DOCUMENTARY FEATURE!!!

Wowzers. Jim just called to let me know that we won the BEST BAY AREA DOCUMENTARY FEATURE award. I think this means we get to put the first of those leafy festival insignias on our poster!
